REMANN HALL WRITERS
Started in 2016, Remann Hall Writers meets every other week with youth in detention. Each meeting features a writing workshop and an opportunity for youth to share what they've been working on between meetings. Every session we write poems or short stories or create comic books, but we always engage with texts by published authors and encourage youth to express themselves and find their voice in their work.

Each year, Remann Hall youth participate in Louder Than a Bomb-Tacoma, our teen poetry festival, even when they are still incarcerated. They record their pieces and we play them at the slam. You can hear all of the previous years' poems at www.soundcloud.com/write253

In December 2018, we released our first Remann Hall Broadside. This ongoing project seeks to publish the work youth create while and Remann Hall and to connect the community to the youth and their writing. If you would like a copy of the broadside, contact us here and we'll get one out to you.
